The hidden treasures of the Jardin des Tuileries

20,00

Description

Take a stroll at the Jardin des Tuileries, first “royal garden” conceived under the reign of Louis the Fourteenth, and transformed by one of the most acclaimed gardeners of all times, Le Nôtre.

With its basins, terraces, groves of trees and its perspectives, the garden is a most wonderful place to wander around, a breath of fresh air at the heart of Paris.

Closely related to French History, the Tuileries witnessed many a fine hour (parties, important political meetings) as well as bloody episodes in History, in particular during the French Revolution. A family walk under the watchful eyes of the statues – some of them sometimes very impressive.
